"◆ Issues We used to manufacture parts only by cutting, but we thought to find a method that yield stronger products and less costly. ◆ Our suggestion We offered to including forging in the process that is normally performed only by cutting which lead to quality improvement and cost reduction. ◆ Improvement results ① A boost in strength The brass rod used for forging has a very high viscosity, which led to an increase in strength. ② Work efficiency improvement by reducing man-hours Compared to hot forging, processing such as ""making a hexagonal shape"" and ""pulling out"" can be performed at once, so parts to be cut has decreased. ③ Cost reduction Since the material used for hot forging is smaller compared to cutting, the total material cost has been reduced by 50%."

The slope at the top of the photo is where the liquid flows, so a severe surface roughness is required. Using optimal cutting tools and processing conditions, we are able to create a high surface roughness even when liquids flow through it.
