Material S25C, processing of round to square. Taper screw for inner diameter tube, PT1 1/4. We processed it by NC lathe and NC milling cutter. At first, we processed it in round shape. 53 mm straight from outer diameter Φ65, corner part R3 is attached. Although it is not visible in the photo, the inner diameter of Φ55 is also processed after the taper screw PT1 1/4 for inner diameter tube is cut by 15 mm. After that, with NC milling cutter, □ 86, and corner part is processed at C0.5. Φ13 drills are opened in 4 places. SUS316L clearly has inferior machinability when compared to SUS304. We chose and prepared a knife suited for SUS316L processing. As shown in the photo, the product has a round form, but through trial and error in setup and construction methods, we were able to finish it virtually entirely by machining. The slope at the top of the photo is where the liquid flows, so a severe surface roughness is required. Using optimal cutting tools and processing conditions, we are able to create a high surface roughness even when liquids flow through it. We make use of a brace, straightener, or center-hole grinding machine, to support a maximum size of up to 2000 mm. We receive many requests for a required accuracy of 0.001 mm – 0.01mm in roundness, concentricity, or cylindricity. We can provide an inspection protocol sheet based on the measurements done from our on-site quality department using the roundness measuring machine.
