SUS316L clearly has inferior machinability when compared to SUS304. We chose and prepared a knife suited for SUS316L processing. As shown in the photo, the product has a round form, but through trial and error in setup and construction methods, we were able to finish it virtually entirely by machining. The slope at the top of the photo is where the liquid flows, so a severe surface roughness is required. Using optimal cutting tools and processing conditions, we are able to create a high surface roughness even when liquids flow through it. We are good at welding (TIG) thin stainless steel plates of 1 mm. We have a track record of thin plates of 0.8 mm to 1.5 mm. The photo shows a temporarily fixed product. For the next step we smooth the welding point by regular welding. Lastly, it is finished by polishing. We make use of a brace, straightener, or center-hole grinding machine, to support a maximum size of up to 2000 mm. We receive many requests for a required accuracy of 0.001 mm – 0.01mm in roundness, concentricity, or cylindricity. We can provide an inspection protocol sheet based on the measurements done from our on-site quality department using the roundness measuring machine.
