COOLING WATER PACKAGE UNIT
Cooling water package units are designed to solve frequently found restrictions which are limited space and limited time for installation. The units are prefabricated and ready to use system in which they consist of induced draft counterflow cooling tower (Bottle Type), water pump, electrical control panel, pipings, steel base etc. 11 models (10RT-100RT) are available as per cooling capacity.

CLOSED SYSTEM COOLING TOWER MODEL : SQCC
Closed System Cooling Tower is induced draft crossflow cooling tower in which stainless steel coils (heat exchanger) are incorporated inside cooling tower. There are two cooling water loops. One is open loop cooling water which is circulated within tower and used for cooling down the closed loop cooling water. The closed loop cooling water is cooled without direct air contact. Heat is removed by falling cooling water (open loop) on the outer surface of the stainless coils. This type of cooling tower is suitable for system that clean cooling water and no contamination are needed.
INDUCED DRAFT COUNTERFLOW COOLING TOWER (CONCRETE STRUCTURE TYPE) MODEL : SQRC
This type of cooling tower is all same as induced draft counterflow cooling tower (SQUARE TYPE) MODEL : SQSC.
Only material of construction is reinforced concrete instead.

INDUCED DRAFT COUNTERFLOW COOLING TOWER (SQUARE TYPE) MODEL : SQSC
This type of cooling tower is using principle of counter flow current between air stream and water which is same as induced draft counterflow cooling tower (Bottle Type). The difference is water is distributed by water nozzles installed underneath water distributing pipes. Water distributing pipes are installed above the layer of PVC filler so that hot water is distributed over entire filler cross section area. The cooling air is sucked from bottom of the cooling tower using axial fan installed on top of cooling tower. Air stream moves upward against coming down water. This makes heat transfer between hot water and air. Cooled water will fall into concrete made water basin before being sucked back to reuse again. Either hot dip galvanized steel or FRP extruded profile is used for construction of the tower structure. FRP extruded profile is for more corrosive resistance application. Tower body and fan stack are made of fiber glass reinforced plastic (FRP) as well. This type of cooling tower is suitable for cooling water system which requires higher cooling capacity and higher water flow than our standard cooling tower models. Therefore manufacturing and designing will be as per customer's requirement.

This type of cooling tower is using principle of counter flow current between air stream and water. Water is distributed by sprinkler head and sprinkler pipe which is forced to rotate by supplied water pressure. Hot water moves down through pvc filler making thin water film in order to enhance surface area of heat transfer. The cooling air is sucked from outside using axial fan installed on top of cooling tower. This makes water temperature come down. However air pressure loss will be higher due to counter flow current between air stream and water but heat transfer efficiency will be higher than other types of cooling tower.
Material of Construction
◎ STRUCTURE Made of hot dip galvanized steel. All parts are connected with galvanized bolts & nuts Tower walls are made of glass fiber reinforced plastic.
◎ AIR INLET MESH Made of PE plastic to prevent foreign material sucked into tower.
◎ FAN DUCT Made of glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) installed on top of the tower. Shape is cone to facilitate aerodynamic efficiency and reduce pressure loss.
◎ MOTOR Motor is to drive tower fan. Due to humid air stream, the motor has to be water and moisture proof type IP 55 rated motor is normally used for our standard tower model. Unless higher rating is required.
◎ GEAR REDUCER Big cooling tower always requires high airflow. Hence big fan blade and diameter are necessary. Fan has to be run at lower speed in order to reduce tip speed and noise. Speed reducer is needed. Gear reducer or V-belt pulley drive are generally two options available. Gear reducer will be longer life and less maintenance. However it will be more noisy than V-belt drive.
◎ FAN Made of aluminium alloy. Fan is to create airflow so that water will contact stream air at large. Axial flow fan is suitable since it can make high airflow. Good fan has to be high efficiency, less vibration, corrosion resistnace and safely operated.
◎ MOTOR SUPPORT Made of hot dip galvanized steel. It's to support motor and gear reducer to operate securely. It's installed on top of fan duct and be with fan guard to prevent danger of fan hit.
◎ WATER BASIN Made of fiber glass reinforced plastic. It will receive cooled water leaving from bottom of the filler. Cooled water will flow into auxilrary suction tank before it will be sucked and recirculated back for cooling machines and equipments. Basin should have enough volume so that water level will never lower than outlet at starting up and water will never over flow at stopping.
◎ FILLER Made of PVC plastic film and corrugated. Water will spreaded over filler. Corrugation will create thin film of water. The film enhances heat transfer between water and air stream.
◎ DRIFT ELIMINATOR Made of fiber glass reinforced plastic (FRP). It will prevent carrying over of small water droplet with air stream leaving the tower. It will minimize water drift loss.

Octagon Cooling Tower (OTG)
Octagon Cooling Tower is Induced Draft Crossflow Cooling tower. Cool air is sucked from all four sides of cooling tower by fan installed on the top meanwhile hot water is delivered through internal pipe inside cooling tower up to top hot water basins which are connected. Hot water then is distributed onto below filler in order to increase heat transfer area. Air and water are moving against each other in cross-sign direction causing heat transfer between cool air and hot water. Cool water flows down to cool water basin at bottom before being sucked to next cooling cycle. Hot water is released to outside atmosphere. New design of top hot water basins by connecting them together makes hot water distributed evenly. This is to eliminate imbalance hot water flow into two side basins of original design of crossflow cooling tower. Heat transfer is equalized all the sides. Octagon Cooling Tower is also designed to reduce drift loss and to save make up water. Drift eliminator is formed in the same sheet of filler on the internal side
Fan and blade are low noise design using low speed direct drive motor, instead of using gear reducer or pulley in order to minimize maintenance works. Fan and case are installed inside cooling tower to reduce noise release to outside
Octagon Cooling Tower is easy in operating and maintenance. Checking cool water basin level, replacing floating valve, cleaning wire mesh strainer etc all can be performed through service door without entering inside cooling tower. Hot water pipe is internal type. No need to install additional pipes and valves externally. This is cost saving and making aesthetic look.
INDUCED DRAFT CROSSFLOW COOLING TOWER MODEL : SQCTN
Hot water is delivered from outside to hot water basin located two sides on the top of the tower. Then it will be distributed over pvc fillers which are installed underneath the basins. Cool air is sucked by fan on top of the tower through fillers from the side. Heat transfer will take place between hot water and cool air. Cooled water will fall down to cool water basin before being sucked back for again cooling application. Hot air will be released to outside. Benefit of this type of cooling tower is less air pressure loss. Fan will consume less absorbed horse power.
