Shin-Etsu Polymer was established as the subsidiary of Shin-Etsu Chemical, an industry leader in PVC and semiconductor silicone products in 1960.

Shin-Etsu Polymer manufactures a variety of PVC pipes and joints for water supply and sewage purposes, general civil engineering uses, and discharge and agricultural uses as well.
Shin-Etsu Polymer has two kinds of front opening shipping boxes (FOSBs) used for transporting wafers between wafer and device manufacturers. We also make front opening unified pods (FOUPs) for device makers’ manufacturing processes. Shin-Etsu Polymer’s FOSBs and FOUPs are known for their high quality and reliability in the global semiconductor industry.
Shin-Etsu Polymer makes silicone rubber medical appliances using our own process and compound technologies for Catheters as well as anesthetic and surgical purposes.
Shin-Etsu Polymer’s silicone wiper rubber products offers increasing water repellent coating to 10-fold with excellent high-speed stability. Patents are filed at Japan and overseas.

Shin-Etsu Polymer develops and makes toner fix roller and development roller for leading Office Automation (OA) equipment manufacturers. We use our own silicone rubber compounding, molding, and conductivity technologies in these products and have gained a reputation for making quality silicone roller.
Shin-Etsu Polymer developed press-connected inter-connectors seeking to fuse chemistry and electronics. Our products include materials primarily made by us, which are used in cell phones, vehicles, and medical appliances as well as for inspections of semiconductor devices. Shin-Etsu Polymer’s inter-connector products are also solder-free, highly durable and maintain excellent connecting reliability.
Shin-Etsu Polymer was the first in the industry to develop elastomer products in response to growing demand from the electronic device market and cell phones, in particular. We have been steadily expanding our keypad business in the global electronics marketplace since.
We also manufacture a new type of analog input device called Q-point, which uses semi-conductive silicone rubber as a sensor.
