Patent & Improvements:
The pedestal unit is patented together with a dedicated lock pin.


Originally, pedestals were fabricated by welding the top plate and hex nut, but to reduce cost and shorten lead time, the design was improved to allow use of a standard nut and only resistance welding.


The current design eliminates even the standard nut by forming threads directly from a shaped pipe (patented), which is now provided commercially.
