PR message
We are one of the few upset forging of shafts' professional manufacturers in Japan. There are about 350 forging manufacturers in Japan, but even if it is called "forging", there are various forging methods such as hammer forging, press forging, free forging, ring forging. Among them, we are developing shaft parts with a flange at the tip and middle using the upset method.
Features and benefits of upset forging:
1. Material costs and machining costs can be saved significantly → eco-friendly
2. Because of the simple forging method, the die cost can be reduced.
Users are most concerned about (1) production lot and (2) die cost.
(1) We accept order from 1-10,000 lots. (Average is 100 to 200). The cost decreases as the lots are collected, but if you ask a small lot, you can get benefit as long as its "100 kg or more". (Example: 20 or more for products with a unit weight of 5 kg).
(2) Since our company uses a standard die combination method called "Miyajima style valve rod forging", regardless of the size of the lot, the die cost is cheaper or even unnecessary than normal die forging.
If you have a product where more than half of the material round bar is chip, please consider cost reduction with the keyword "It's a waste to cut out".
