Proposal to adopt ""SUPEROLL""
Surface roughness Ra3.2 is a level that can be cleared without problems by lathe processing. However, it is difficult to achieve a smooth machined surface without plunge cut (surface roughness) only by turning, so it is common to polish with a cylindrical grinding machine.
So, we offered to attach superoll to lathe tool post for finishing.
""SUPEROLL"" is a mirror finishing tool that smooth the metal surface deformation with a diamond attached to the tip. It achieves high productivity, precision finishing and durable finished surface.

Result 1) Quality improvement
Achieves surface roughness Ra0.08. There were no surface roughness left, and we were able to finish the work with an accuracy that greatly exceeded the drawing accuracy. In addition, we have succeeded in increasing the concentricity because it can be processed simultaneously with other parts on the machine.

Result 2) Shortening production lead time
Reduce one step since finishing with a cylindrical grinding machine is no longer required.
