●Material: Tungsten
●Outside Diameter: Φ0.18 mm

We have successfully coiled 30 μm (0.03 mm) diameter tungsten wire into a spring with an outside diameter of Φ0.18 mm. To put this into perspective, this spring is smaller than the width of a fingerprint ridge!

Understanding Torsion Springs
While the image might initially appear to show a compression coil spring, this is actually a torsion spring with straight end sections combined with a coiled central portion.

For clarity:
●Compression Coil Spring: Coiled throughout its length, designed to resist compression forces.
●Torsion Spring: Features straight ends or sections different from the coiled portion, designed to resist torsional (twisting) forces.
