Plamoul Seiko Co.,Ltd. Developed Degassing Pin for Plastic Injection Molding – Reduced Burr!
Article appeared on Nikkan Kogyo News Paper (Business & Technology Daily News) published on June 16th, 2010.
[Sendai] Plamoul Seiko Co.,Ltd. (Tomitani-cho Miyagi Prefecture, Wakiyama, Takashi President, Tel:022-348-1250) developed degassing pin to release gas from inside the mould during plastic injection molding. It will reduce the possibility of creating burr resulting in solving the resinous supplying problem. It can be used as a replacement of current ejector pin.
Diameter of 2mm pin costs 18 thousand yen. The company will gladly correspond to order-made-sizes. Their goal is to sell a thousand pins per month.
Inside of “Gas Through” is hollow, allowing gas occurring from HTM resin to be released outside the mould. Plamoul Seiko Co.,Ltd designed pin holes to be range of 0.05mm to 0.005mm so that only gas will be released while blocking resinous’ flow.
Sizes of hole are adjustable depending on viscosity of resin.
When a pin is jammed by resin, Plamoul Seiko Co.,Ltd also provides pin-cleaning service.
