Castem’s MIM is the way to produce “precise and complex 2 ~ 50 mm size products” which are used in communication devices and medical devices. The bind method to mix metal powder is our uniquely established technique and obtained paten in the US.
Case 1: Cost Reduction By Casting Spline Shape
It was common to wire process since it was known to be impossible to have the broach tooth for a Ф5 spline. With MIM’s common difference of±0.1, we have achieved to have aimed clearness, not too tight nor not too loose, and cost reduction.
Case 2: Near Net Shaping Titanium
MIM can process titanium, known to be chemical-proof and corrosion-resistance and suitable for a strengthen part and/or decoration, into complex shapes which cannot be managed with machining.
Case 3: Highly functional MIM binder opening the freedom of shape.
Since our forming resin binder is applied with our invent technique, thin forming the product can be processed easily and difficult to fall in the vacuumed chamber.
Case 4: Special Treatment For Decoration
By implementing special treatment on a MIM product, its surface glitters and becomes neat looks.
Case 5: MIM-ing a Double Shift Gear
Machining a double shift gear is time consuming. Why not MIM!?
Case 6: Side-Cut-Less Screw Forming For Improved Preciseness
Since screw formation is affected by mold parting line, it was common to insert side-cut; however, due to precision improvement on mold technology, now controlling parting line allow to remove side cutting process.
Case 7: Cost Reduction By Drilling 0.3mm Hole Onto a Cemented Carbide
It is costly and time consuming to drill a hole onto cemented carbide, but with MIM, the final product will have a 0.3 mm hole drilled.
Case 8: A Hole And a Grid On a Minute Part
Machine processing a minute part takes time to gather specialized tools and can be costly. Such problem can be solved by MIM-ing product into a near shape.
Case 9: MIM-ing a Product With an Ultra-Thin Slit
To have an ultra-thin slit, it is necessary to have a wire processing or specialized blade and it can be expensive. Utilization of MIM for materializing a slit will result in reduced cost.
Case 10: MIM Product as Thin as Paper airplane
The ability to create a thickness of 0.2mm stainless metal with the resin injection like technique, “metal injection.”
Castem will respond to any order, such as complicated shapes, mass production, etc. For a small lot orders, less than 100 pieces, will be answered with usage of a small lot mold.
