In the case of long angle processing, the material cost of products starting from already angled material, will be lower but these kind of materials will easily show distortion while being processed. This requires an additional processing step to remove the distortion, which results in a higher total production cost.

On the other hand, if the L-angled products are processed through carving them out of one block of black S50C material (hot steel), the material cost will be higher but distortion is less likely to occur. Therefore, it is easier to realize the required accuracy which results in a cost reduction by reducing the processing steps.

It is also possible to process a variety of other shapes.
