2B finished stainless steel

In the case of processing thin and long plates with a dimension smaller than 5mm, it is best to use 2B material. By using 2B material, it becomes unnecessary to adjust the thickness of the material, which eliminates excessive material costs.

A downside of 2B finished material, is that the material shows distortions and curves when it is acquired (like shown at the top of the picture). These distortions make it impossible to handle the material in a further machining process.

Joyofuji Kogyo however, is capable to remove these distortion and achieve a flatness up to 0.5mm, as shown on the bottom of the picture. Such flatness is needed and essential in further processing steps. During its long history of processing long parts, Joyofuji Kogyo experienced the importance of this straightening process. In accordance to this, a unique strain-removing technology is developed to process even 2B material with no problem. In this way we can eliminate the cutting cost and reduce the material cost.

With the use of 2B material, the product already has the desired thickness. This enables us to both eliminate the thickness adjusting cutting cost of the material as the opportunity cost of wasting unnecessary material.
