These are piping components made of Hastelloy and Inconel.
The one on the left is Hastelloy, and the one on the right is Inconel.
Both are known as nickel-based materials with excellent corrosion and chemical resistance,
making them suitable for use in piping that transports chemical solutions without corrosion.
Hastelloy has a high content of molybdenum and chromium added to nickel, enhancing its corrosion and heat resistance.
It has been developed as a material that can withstand the combustion parts of jet engines.
Since it is specifically designed for corrosion resistance, its mechanical properties are not highly expected.
The heat resistance temperature is said to be 1200 degrees Celsius, but there are several types depending on the composition.
Inconel is a nickel-based alloy with added chromium, iron, and niobium, which enhances its oxidation and creep resistance in high-temperature environments.
It is one of the materials frequently used in the aerospace and nuclear industries, but due to its poor thermal conductivity,
it is very difficult to process and is considered a hard-to-machine material.
Please consider using them for high-temperature environments and test jigs.
