In the horizontal machining center, the cutting tool (blade) is horizontal to the ground that enables to cut the work piece horizontally.
The horizontal machining center is basically 4-axis control. Since it is possible to perform "four-sided machining" that cannot be done with a vertical machining center, it has lesser setup (for workpieces replacement) and there is no deterioration in machining accuracy due to misalignment.
It has automation friendly characteristics such as do not collect chips easily, lesser processing trouble, highly compatible with APC (pallet changer), which allows multiple simultaneous machining using multi-surface angle plate (jig).
