KYODO ELECTRONICS INC. manufactures ceramic, metal, glass, and film PCBs from prototypes to low-volume production.
PR message
We manufacture highly reliable substrates based on ceramic materials with high heat resistance and high thermal conductivity. These products are used in industrial equipment, home appliances, automotive equipment, communication devices, medical devices, aerospace equipment, railway equipment, marine equipment, and other applications.
Cost-Effective Ceramic PCB with Excellent Overall Performance
Alumina (Al₂O₃) is the most widely used ceramic material for printed circuit boards, offering an outstanding balance of Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD). With a thermal conductivity approximately 70 times higher than conventional FR-4 PCBs, it provides excellent heat dissipation for mounted electronic components.
Resistor patterns can be screen-printed in virtually any configuration, allowing the PCB to function not only as a circuit board but also as a heating element (high-temperature heater PCB).
Key Features
• High heat resistance (operating temperatures above 300°C)
• High thermal conductivity (25 W/m·K)
• Low coefficient of thermal expansion (7.2 × 10⁻⁶ /K)
• Excellent chemical and solvent resistance
• High design flexibility, including three-dimensional PCB configurations
• Inorganic material with excellent long-term stability
Ultra-High Thermal Conductivity Ceramic PCB — Approximately 7 Times Higher Than Alumina PCBs
Aluminum Nitride (AlN) PCBs provide exceptional heat dissipation, making them ideal for applications requiring efficient cooling of high-power electronic components. With a thermal conductivity approximately seven times greater than that of alumina PCBs, AlN is an excellent solution for demanding thermal management applications.
Resistor patterns can be screen-printed in virtually any configuration, enabling the PCB to serve not only as a circuit board but also as a high-temperature heater PCB.
Unlike alumina PCBs, AlN allows the fabrication of long heater PCBs that are less susceptible to cracking caused by thermal expansion, making them suitable for large-area heating applications.
Key Features
• High heat resistance (operating temperatures above 300°C)
• Ultra-high thermal conductivity (170 W/m·K)
• Low coefficient of thermal expansion (4.6 × 10⁻⁶ /K)
• Excellent chemical and solvent resistance
• High design flexibility, including three-dimensional PCB configurations
• Inorganic material with excellent long-term stability
Silicon Nitride PCB (Si₃N₄) – Under Development
A next-generation ceramic PCB with approximately twice the fracture toughness of alumina (Al₂O₃). Its superior resistance to cracking overcomes one of the key limitations of conventional ceramics. The material also maintains its mechanical strength at high temperatures, providing excellent reliability and long-term cost performance.
Key Features
High heat resistance (over 300°C)
High thermal conductivity (85 W/m·K)
Low coefficient of thermal expansion (2.8 × 10⁻⁶/K)
Excellent chemical and solvent resistance
High design flexibility, including three-dimensional PCB structures

The Ideal PCB for High-Transparency Applications
Glass PCBs are manufactured using high-transparency materials such as soda-lime glass, TEMPAX® borosilicate glass, and quartz, making them ideal for applications where optical clarity and light transmission are essential.
Typical applications include automotive collision avoidance systems (laser and camera sensors), display devices, solar panels, sensors, and LED modules.
Resistor patterns can be screen-printed in virtually any configuration, allowing the PCB to function as a heater PCB. Typical applications include anti-fog glass heaters and other transparent heating solutions.
Key Features
• Patterning available on soda-lime glass, TEMPAX® borosilicate glass, quartz, and other glass materials
• Patterning on three-dimensional glass components, including test tubes, beakers, and other curved surfaces
• Excellent optical transparency for advanced optoelectronic application
Patterning Technology for Metal Surfaces — Even on Screws
Metal PCBs are manufactured on aluminum, stainless steel, and other metal materials using our advanced screen-printing technology. Compared with conventional etched metal PCBs, our process offers excellent heat resistance, withstanding operating temperatures of over 300°C.
Our technology also enables direct patterning on screws, pipes, metal housings, and other three-dimensional metal components, making effective use of otherwise unused space. Resistor patterns can be screen-printed in virtually any configuration, allowing the PCB to function as a high-temperature heater PCB as well.
Key Features
• Patterning on aluminum, stainless steel, and other metal materials
• Patterning on three-dimensional metal components, including screws, pipes, and metal housings
• High heat resistance (operating temperatures above 300°C)
• Flexible pattern design for heating and electronic circuit applications
The Ideal PCB for Wearable Devices
Our Film PCBs can be patterned not only on PET and PI (Polyimide) films, but also on stretchable materials used in wearable devices and flexible electronics.
We also offer silver/silver chloride (Ag/AgCl) patterning for bioelectrode applications, enabling the detection of biopotential signals generated by the human body, making our technology suitable for medical devices, healthcare monitoring, and wearable sensors.
Resistor patterns can be screen-printed in virtually any configuration, allowing the PCB to function as a heater PCB for flexible heating applications.
Key Features
• Patterning on PET, PI (Polyimide), and stretchable materials
• Patterning of silver/silver chloride (Ag/AgCl) electrodes for biopotential sensing
• Patterning on three-dimensional components, including syringes, tubes, and other curved surfaces
• Flexible pattern design for sensing, heating, and electronic circuit applications
