This is an automobile connector part made by PBT.
This is a plastic molded product with a size of 54.0 x 19.6 x 31.2 mm and tolerance range of 0.05 mm.
Large connectors are prone to tipping and warping, so this is an example that makes use of flow analysis.
Through the analysis, we were able to propose shape changes and addition of lightening without impairing the function and concept of the parts.
Due to the large number of contact holes in the connector and the thin structure between the poles, we simulate by flow analysis and predict the part where short circuit is likely to occur.
We devised the mold design based on estimation.
