Miura Co., Ltd. offers seamless foundry services, from design to wood and metal mold fabrication, casting, machine processing, and assembly.
We proudly ensure that all work is conducted within our own facilities. Our thorough process certification includes penetration examination, layout inspection and 3D-measurements in each process, with hermetic pressure test equipment available for final product assurance as well.
Miura ensures stable quality, fewer prototypes, and shorter lead times with the use of 3D-CAD/CAM and flow analysis to optimize basic designs, a process conventionally dependant on intuition and experience.
Although small in size, Miura is a well-established firm, with 80% of its clients listed on the Tokyo Exchange.
Casing used as pressure/hermetic seals for industrial machines.
Achieves enhanced quality with consistent 2-mm wall thickness and low-pressure casting, while optimizing airtight characteristics. Hermetic and pressure testing equipment installed as part of regular process to detect air, water and helium gas pressure for final product assurance.
A hollow aluminum casting case produced with the cold-box core-making process.
Polishless case achieved by minimizing resin additives and eliminating residual sand.
The cold-box process fills the pattern with sand using an air set process, enabling the manufacture of core and other intricate shapes with surfaces smoother than those achieved by human hands.
Miura uses manmade sand, resulting in superior castings for products requiring highly smooth surfaces and eliminating the need for polishing.
Thin-wall impeller aluminum casting manufactured with a sand mold.
This superior sand mold casting produces a polishless casting with a flow channel surface roughness of 25s.
3D-measurements are taken after processing for shroud shape assurance.
Sand mold aluminum casting (printer frame/AC4C-T6)
Equipped with a large-scale machining center, NC turning machines, and other machining tools, Miura offers seamless support covering post-casting machining and finishing.
The company offers grinding in addition to post-manufacturing machining, as well as dimension inspections after machining with 3D-measurement equipment.
High volume manufacturing of industrial machinery vanes using metal mold aluminum casting.
Miura provides metal mold casting using gravity, durville, and low-pressure casting processes, and accepts low-volume orders from 30 pieces per lot.
The casting analysis offers simulation of the molten metal as it fills the mold and the solidification process, enabling engineers to predict problems such as shrinkage and misruns before any actual metal is poured.
To determine component suitability before production, Miura ensures stable quality, fewer prototypes, and shorter lead times by performing flow analysis on basic designs, a process conventionally dependant on intuition and experience.
Miura provides sand mold casting fabrication using gravity and low-pressure casting processes, with three process types: self-hardening furan, CO2, and cold box processes. Sand mold casting is less expensive than metal mold casting, making it suitable for prototypes and large castings that require low-volume lots or intricate design changes.
Low-pressure casting is characterized by consistent high quality castings with minimal material waste. Miura achieves superior reproducibility based on computerized controls for heat and pressurized conditions. Maximum poured weight for low-pressure casting is 550 kg.
Metal mold aluminum casting (gravity casting) is a more efficient than sand mold casting for mass production.
Miura also specializes in tilt casting (durville casting) and low-pressure casting processes to meet the needs for low-volume metal mold casting.
Cold box, furan binder and shell molding can also be fabricated when using cores in durville casting. Maximum manufactured product size is X400×Y400×Z330.
Low-pressure casting is also used for thin-walled castings; Miura offers cold box and shell molding fabrication for using cores. Maximum manufactured product size is X800×Y800×Z600.
